Arabic language is not displayed properly in Dashboards and Analytics

It seems that the SVG Viewer has problems while encoding Arabic in the dashboards and analytics. To overcome this problem in Business Objects XI Release 3 you have to use Flash as a viewer and not SVG. Follow these steps to switch the viewer to Flash:

  1. Logon to Business Objects InfoView
  2. Click on Prefrences
  3. Click on Dashboards and Analytics
  4. Enable the Checkbox beside " Use Macromedia Flash when available " in the Rich Client Option section

Now Arabic should be displayed properly in the Dashboards and Analytics
